About:

Ivan Ross Gonzalez: B.E., M.S., E-RYT 500, YACEP, Reiki Master Teacher, Alchemical Hypnotherapist, Opera Singer, Empath, Intuitive, & Spiritual Healer.

Ivan has been practicing yoga since 2008 when he suffered from a debilitating L4-L5 herniated bulging disc. Through the daily practice of Pranayama, Chanting, Singing, Meditation, Visualization, and Ashtanga Yoga, Ivan is pain-free and continues to share his passion for functional movement. He completed his 500 Hour Yoga Teacher Training at Samahita Retreat in Koh Samui, Thailand, Bachelor’s in Biomedical Engineering, Master’s in Enterprise Project Management at Stevens Tech, and 2 Years at the Doctor of Physical Therapy level at Rutgers University (Formerly UMDNJ). Ivan is also Pilates Mat certified. Ivan has developed a functional and holistic approach to discovering the intricacies of the human spirit and its organic ability to self-heal through the kaleidoscope of lenses through the many paths of Yoga.

In this workshop, you will learn ways to help unravel tension in your tissues to prepare for deeper work in running, biking, CrossFit workouts, yoga practices and your life. Deep, myofascial tissue release moves along myofascial lines and meridians (long fibrous pathways of connective tissue that contract and adhere from habitual movement and posture). This type of therapy aims to relax muscles and improve blood and lymphatic circulation. By manipulating the fascia, physical constrictions are released, opening areas that may feel stuck or tense. This workshop will incorporate trigger point release and myofascial release so that you leave with a simple but effective knowledge that you can apply on your own...at the gym and at home.

Please note: This is not a yoga class. Think of it as a mobility workshop. Bring 2 tennis balls and/or 2 lacrosse balls and a yoga mat. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before start time.

Christina is a licensed massage therapist and yoga teacher. She is constantly searching for new, innovative ways to heal the body through yoga, studying with Jonny Kest, Kathryn Budig, Bryan Kest, Mackenzie Miller, Dice Ilda-Klein, and Patrick Beach, and is currently completing her 500HR TT with Tiffany Cruikshank. Then, physically working from the inside out, you will be guided through a 90 minute vigorous Hot Vinyasa Flow specifically designed to stimulate your body to release toxins and tension, and give your insides a cleanse through this specific flow of hot sweaty yoga and pranayama. We will lengthen the spine to stimulate digestion, use compressing and twisting poses to squeeze toxins out of the cells and stimulate your immune system. Melt into a healing vibration

Participants will lie on a comfortable savasana, focus on an intention and begin to relax. Protocols for deep relaxation, healing and balance will be played as well as possible placements of bowls on the body. Vibration surrounds the group as each experiences relaxation and re-balancing while receiving vibrational energy from the bowls. Sessions are approximately one hour in length.

Our bodies have a pulse, rhythm and vibratory signature of health and wellbeing. Over time, life situations can cause imbalances in our energy fields. Stress, negativity and trauma can prevent a healthy flow of energy. Melt into Fall: Restorative Yoga & Meditation

Melt into the sweet calm of this two hour candlelit restorative yoga workshop. Start with a guided meditation to center and realign your mind. Following will be a restorative practice using various supportive props to help you relax even further. As you rest, enjoy the sounds of harmonium, Tibetan bowls (two bowls used during one posture only) & sweet silence. You are welcome to request reiki during your relaxation if you choose. Class will conclude with a guided visualization practice called yoga nidra. 

Appropriate for all ages & ability levels. No yoga experience needed. Room will be cozy warm but not heated.

All About the Hips! With Janice Liou

REGISTER HERE // $40/pp  Sat. 11/11 1-3pm

This 2-hour workshop focuses on hip flexibility! For most of us, we spend 80% of the day either sitting, standing, or moving in one plane of direction (walking forward).  But the hip joint is made for so much more rotation.  In this workshop, we will move through 4 segments of exercises to not only increase flexibility but also to build strength for healthy stretching and a strong yoga practice.

Segments include:

Front Hip Flexors

Quads & Hamstrings

Outer hips (abductors)

Inner thighs (adductors)  

The goal of this workshop is for you to learn and take the exercises and methods that we will introduce into your yoga practice.

All levels welcome!
